Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
GospelDeck is a free, non-commercial Bible verse memorization app created by Joshua Pozos. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
Google account data
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This is used solely to identify your account.
Bible verse cards
The cards you create β including the verse reference, text, topic, personal notes, study progress (times studied, mastered status), and deck assignments β are stored in our database linked to your account.
Language preference
We store your selected language (English or Spanish) so the app remembers your choice across sessions.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment information, browsing history, location data, device identifiers, or any analytics/tracking data. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to provide the GospelDeck service β authenticating your account, saving your cards, and remembering your preferences. Nothing more.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data stays between you and GospelDeck.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on Neon PostgreSQL servers with encrypted connections. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Data deletion
You can delete your cards at any time from within the app. To request full account deletion, contact joshua@pozoss.com.
Children's privacy
GospelDeck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
